Nathan Goodman per ship Mermaid, assigned to John Bingle. Appeared before the Bench to make a complaint of want of proper slops. The prisoner produced to the Court a cloth jacket made out of a soldiers great coat. John Tuckey states - I am overseer to Mr. Bingle; in addition to the jacket now produced by the prisoner who is a shepherd he had a great coat allowed him to wear when he is out at night in wet weather. The Bench having examined the jacket find that it has two holes in it, but evidently from accident and not from wear (which Mr. Bingle requested to have repaired), otherwise the bench think the jacket perfectly good and sufficient
